About Porch Hour
Porch Hour is a calm daily page for older adults: the weather, three short stories, a bit of history and a puzzle, with reminders and family check-ins you control.
What Porch Hour does
- Shows one finite page each day. When you reach the end, you're all caught up.
- Reminds you at fixed times you set, and records what you tell us about each reminder.
- Lets you check in each day, and lets the family members you choose see that — if you decide to share it.
- Texts the person you've chosen if a check-in or reminder isn't confirmed, so they can follow up.
What Porch Hour doesn't do
- It isn't a medical device and doesn't give medical advice. Marking a reminder is your own report, not proof a medicine was taken.
- It doesn't monitor your health, detect emergencies or contact emergency services. In an emergency, call 911.
- It doesn't replace official weather warnings.
- It has no ads and doesn't sell your information.
- The puzzle is just for fun — we don't claim it improves memory or health.
Staying safe from scams
Porch Hour will never call or text you asking for a password, a code, or payment. If someone does, hang up and call us.
